Drink for Pink is a chance to sample some great wines, indulge in yummy appetizers and raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Event proceeds will be given to Komen to help raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The event is being held at 6 p.m. this Wednesday, August 31, at Eddie Merlot’s in Indianapolis.

The event is hosted by Eddie Merlot’s General Manager and Pink Tie Guy Joseph Davey. It’s only $25 per person.  Reservations can be made by calling 317-846-8303.

Support Davey

Even if you can’t attend the event, you can still donate.  Davey became a Pink Tie Guy to raise funds for breast cancer research after seeing one of his aunts struggle with breast cancer.  He says most of his family members have had cancer and encourages all of us to pitch in to help find a cure.

The Pink Tie Guys are leaders who bring a male voice to the urgency of finding cures for breast cancer.  Breast cancer is often viewed as a “women’s disease”.  However, there are males who suffer from the disease and also thousands of men affected by breast cancer when the women in their lives are diagnosed.

“The greatest portion of the money raised by Pink Tie Guys stays in the central Indiana community to fund local screenings, diagnostics and treatment programs for underserved Hoosiers. A meaningful portion will support groundbreaking research aimed at discovering breast cancer causes, treatments and, ultimately, the cures.”

Kate Shepherd Communications has been inspired by Davey’s passion and drive.  His goal is to raise more money than any Pink Tie Guy in history! Please take a moment to go online and help him reach his goal.
